Opinion: Speculation about the end of privacy coins is seriously exaggerated

Last week, CipherTrace, a provider of cryptocurrency intelligence and blockchain security, said recently that speculation on the end of privacy coins has been seriously exaggerated because regulators have not completely banned them and privacy coins are ready to comply with the Travel Rule. CipherTrace emphasized that the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) and the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) of the US Treasury Department will not advocate a total ban on the use of privacy coins as long as there are controls to mitigate the risks associated with anonymity. Speaking of travel rules, CipherTrace said, "Many top coin developers have issued statements that adhere to travel rules."
