Reuters: Virgil Griffith had intended to ship ETH mining equipment to North Korea, saying "this is really cool"

According to Reuters, two sources revealed that Virgil Griffith, an Ethereum Foundation scientist, revealed at an industry conference at the Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul in April 2018 that he planned to arrange the shipment of mining equipment used to manufacture ETH to North Korea, while Ether Fang can help illegal activities such as evading sanctions or money laundering by converting into fiat currency (such as US dollars). Virgil Griffith once said that if ETH could be mined in North Korea, it would be "really cool". Reuters said it was unclear whether Virgil Griffith's plan to ship equipment to North Korea was realized, but Virgil Griffith is currently facing charges of up to 20 years in prison for violating the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.
