BIS president urges central banks to adopt digital currencies

In a recent speech, Agustin Carstens, president of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), urged central banks to adopt digital currencies. He said that the financial world is currently undergoing a revolution, and banks, as trusted institutions, should take control. But he only supports professional digital currencies, and still disapproves of Bitcoin and other projects of large tech companies, such as Facebook's Libra.
