Academician Wang Xiaoyun introduced the origin of blockchain-cryptography in the report, covering the importance of cryptography, hash functions in cryptography, and the principles and blocks of cryptography used in blockchain technology Application areas of the chain.
In her speech, she said that passwords are the core technology and basic support to ensure network and information security. Encryption algorithms, digital signature algorithms, and hash functions are the three basic types of cryptography algorithms. Hash functions are the originating technology of blockchain. She pointed out that the emergence of blockchain technology creatively solved the problem of how to reach consensus in an unlicensed environment. In terms of the security attributes of the blockchain technology, its consistency ensures that the blockchain data recorded by all users is the same; the chain growth rate ensures the stability of the growth rate of the number of blockchain blocks; the chain quality ensures the adversary generation in the blockchain The number of blocks does not exceed the tolerable ratio.
When talking about the importance of cryptography, Academician Wang Xiaoyun mentioned that "cryptography is the core technology and basic support to ensure network and information security. Its key scientific problems are mathematical problems, including basic mathematics and applied mathematics.
