British financial technology company Billon obtains license for registered electronic money institution in Poland

On April 24th, British financial technology company Billon said it has obtained permission from the Polish Financial Supervisory Authority (KNF) to operate as a registered electronic money institution, the first license issued by Poland. Billon can leverage its DLT enterprise system to support multiple payment services in its own currency, such as retaining e-money accounts, issuing payment instruments, conducting transactions, currency exchange, and remittances. In addition, the license allows Billon to issue electronic money in the form of a national currency, the value of which is the same as the currency in the bank account.
