Chen Wenjun of Fudan University: There will be non-state forms of Libra-like digital currency attempts

Recently, Chen Wenjun, a professor at the Zhangjiang Research Institute of Fudan University and executive director of the Digital Economy Research Center, said in an interview that during the fintech innovation pilot, there may be some 'regulatory exceptions'. Controversial business may be allowed in the pilot, but according to the international 'regulatory sandbox' test situation, not all innovative projects will be successfully implemented in the end. Chen Wenjun also said that from the perspective of the main body, licensed institutions may be the first to enter the pilot, and loans such as loan assistance and joint loans that are involved in the traditional financial field but are in dispute may also enter the pilot. At the same time, there will be attempts at non-state-type digital currencies like Libra (Facebook's new virtual cryptocurrency).
