U.S. judge agrees with conspiracy lawyers in OneCoin case to extend time to file motion

U.S. attorney Mark Scott was convicted in November for helping OneCoin cryptocurrency scams launder money and faces 50 years in prison. On December 4, Scott was given more time for his legal team to prepare his motion. Scott reportedly asked New York Southern District Court (NYSD) Judge Edgardo Ramos to extend it for one month so that his lawyers could prepare for a retrial and acquittal. According to court filings, Scott must submit these motions by December 20, 2019.
