Parity intends to open its Ethereum client maintenance work through the DAO structure

Parity Technologies, the startup behind the Ethereum Parity client, said on Monday that it will open up client maintenance through a new decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). Details on the move are still pending, and it has not yet spoken to ecosystem stakeholders, including the Ethereum Foundation, Gnosis, the POA Network, and ETC Labs. According to Parity, DAO will rely on the "equity-weighted token system" to promote "the fair and transparent initial distribution of equity in the final decision-making process of the DAO." The company says that they spend a lot of time maintaining the code base, "even for simple maintenance of this project, fewer resources are needed."
