HTC will lay off employees to remain competitive, focusing on high-end products such as blockchain mobile phones EXODUS in the future

HTC, a Taiwanese mobile phone maker, confirmed earlier this week that the company will lay off employees to stay competitive. In the future, we will better focus on a few high-end products, including its blockchain phone EXODUS. According to reports, HTC, which has about 3,000 employees, has not disclosed the size of the layoffs and the departments most affected. This will be the third round of layoffs facing HTC in the past 5 years. The company fired 2,250 employees in 2015 and further laid off 1,500 in July 2018.
