Report: Open banks should comprehensively use next-generation digital technologies such as blockchain to further upgrade regulatory technology

On December 27, the China Internet Finance Association officially released the "Open Bank Development Research Report (2019)". In response to the development of open banks in China, the Report also puts forward four major policy recommendations. These include the development of regulatory technology and the exploration of a unified regulatory platform. Through the technology-driven advantages throughout the entire chain of financial regulation, the establishment of public data fusion and regulatory information sharing mechanisms in accordance with the law, the comprehensive use of artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain and other new-generation digital technologies to further upgrade regulatory technology. Specific measures include: practically strengthening research planning; actively deepening the application of science and technology; effectively consolidating resource support.
