Monero Research Lab proposes new mechanism to improve token privacy

January 6, Monero Research Laboratory (MRL) proposed Triptych in published papers, the paper proposes to trust in the size of the number of ring signature. As the core of Monero anonymous mechanism designed to reduce token size of the study can significantly improve the privacy of tokens. Monero (XMR) privacy tokens, using several different mechanisms to blur parts of the transaction. This is done by aggregating the sender's real tokens with a set of decoys. Triptych's main innovation is to make the byte size of the ring signature logarithmic to the number of decoys, not linear. This will allow a significant increase in ring size without major performance issues.
