Former Mt. Gox CEO seeks court to withdraw fraud charges against him

Mark Karpeles, former CEO of Mt. Gox, has filed an application with the court to try to dismiss a class action lawsuit against him by victims affected by the exchange's failure. According to documents filed with the Illinois District Court on Wednesday, Karpeles now seeks the court's immediate decision to waive all charges. It is reported that Gregory Greene, the main plaintiff in this class action lawsuit, sued Karpeles in 2014, when he suffered huge losses at Mt. Gox. Greene has charged Karpeles with "illicit conversions", "negligence" and "consumer fraud."
