Market manipulation lawsuits against Bitfinex and Tether have been re-filed

The plaintiffs in the Bitfinex and Tether market manipulation cases have filed a revised lawsuit against Bitfinex, Tether and their parent company iFinex. Karen Lerner, one of the lawyers involved in the case, said the lawsuit has been reopened in the Southern District Court of New York to effectively safeguard the rights of Bitcoin traders and Bitcoin futures traders. The plaintiffs Eric Young, Adam Kurtz and David Crystal withdrew the case on January 7, but reopened the case on January 8. The case started in November last year when the plaintiffs claimed that Bitfinex and Tether had released inaccurate information, "monopolizing and attempting to monopolize the Bitcoin market." Bitfinex and Tether have denied the allegations in the lawsuit.
