Research: 298 crypto whale controls large amounts of Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin

Blockchain analysis company IntoTheBlock recently released a study on the concentration of cryptocurrencies that rank high in the market. According to research, 298 crypto whales control the huge wealth of the Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin ecosystems. Although bitcoin transactions are traceable, the identity of most addresses is still shrouded in mystery. These addresses are usually owned by early investors and in some cases by cryptocurrency exchanges. IntoTheBlock said that 39 crypto whales hold 11.1% of the total amount of existing Bitcoin, 154 addresses account for 40% of all ETH, and 128 addresses account for 47% of all LTC. At the same time, more than half of Tether's circulating supply is in the hands of 140 wallets.
