Report: Bitcoin up 95% year-on-year by the end of 2019, surpassing major traditional assets such as gold

According to the annual report submitted by cryptocurrency analysis company CoinGecko, among the top five cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin performed the best, with a 95% appreciation by the end of December. XRP is the worst performing asset with a loss of 45% for the year. Both Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash are up about 40%. The total market value of the crypto market increased by 44.1%. The report also states that, although Bitcoin is highly volatile (transaction prices range from $ 3,500 to $ 13,000), its year-on-year increase is approximately 95%. In 2019, BTC outperformed major traditional assets such as the S & P 500 (up 29%), gold (up 19%) and silver (up 16%).
