Data: More than $ 11 billion in cryptocurrencies have been stolen in hacking to date

InsideBitcoins data shows that more than $ 11 billion worth of cryptocurrencies have been stolen in hacking attacks against exchanges. Since 2011, hacker attacks have mainly affected cryptocurrency exchanges, wallets and mining platforms. Among them are the largest number of hacking attacks in 2019, at least 8 cryptocurrency exchanges were attacked, and more than $ 104 million in digital assets were stolen, including 7,000 BTC ($ 60.5 million) stolen by Binance. The platform that has suffered the most so far is Mt.Gox. The exchange suffered two hacking attacks in 2011 and 2014, losing approximately 2,000 bitcoins ($ 17.2 million) and 740,000 bitcoins ($ 6.5 billion).
