Virginia lawmaker suggests the state to study the role of blockchain in the national economy

According to CoinDesk, this month, a U.S. Virginia lawmaker Hala Ayala (D-51) introduced a bill to the House of Representatives asking the Virginia Economic Development Cooperation Organization (VEDP) to study the current and future role of blockchain in the national economy. Earlier news, the congressman also submitted another bill on blockchain, recommending that the State Department of Education "study the use of blockchain technology to protect voter records and election results."
