Greece approves extradition of BTC-e founder Alexander Vinnik to France

According to Greek Reporter, on Thursday, the National Council of Greece announced a ruling that the extradition process for Alexander C. Alexander Vinnik, a Russian citizen, could now be extradited to France. The Greek State Council ruled that Vinnik was extradited to France first, then to the United States, and finally to his own country, Russia. The court held that if Vinnik was extradited to Russia first, there was little chance that he would be extradited to another country. It is reported that Vinnik was arrested in northern Greece during his vacation in 2017. He was accused of laundering billions of dollars using cryptocurrency and wanted by three countries.
