India's IAMAI lawyer: Bank ban doesn't address any issues the Reserve Bank of India wants

According to foreign media today, the Indian Supreme Court's "Crypto v. RBI" case resumed today, and no verdict has yet been announced. At the hearing, Ashim Sood, a lawyer with the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), said the central agency had failed to submit any research to support its claims about how cryptocurrencies affect payment settlement. He further noted that the bank ban did not address any issues the Reserve Bank of India wanted to address. Cryptocurrency exchange lawyer Nakul Dewan said the Reserve Bank of India ’s measures were “arbitrary”.
