Study: Cryptocurrency scam OneCoin uses fake reviews on TrustPilot to attract investors

According to news from cointelegraph on January 29, research conducted by the Atlantic Council think tank's Digital Forensics Research Lab (DFRLab) has shown that the cryptocurrency Ponzi scheme OneCoin has used fake reviews on TrustPilot and Quora to attract investors. DFRLab noted that OneCoin had an unusual number of five-star reviews on TrustPilot after the media began reporting negative news on OneCoin in October 2019. According to the report, 90% of the 579 TrustPilot reviews of OneCoin were positive, and about 400 five-star reviews were posted in one month. Although OneCoin has also received some one-star ratings, so far positive ratings have far exceeded that rating.
