Survey shows: Many people in advanced economies do not trust private projects, including Libra

According to a survey conducted by the British Forum of Official Currency and Financial Institutions in 13 countries around the world, people in most developed economies do not trust digital currencies issued by search engines or social media giants. Among them, Germany, France and Britain had the highest degree of skepticism. The central bank's digital currency (CBDC) is considered a better idea and more popular than private projects including Libra. In addition, people in emerging markets are more inclined to use digital currencies. Indians are most optimistic about digital currency issued by central banks and digital currency issued by technology companies.
