Analysis: ETH risks exceed BTC in coming months

According to CoinDesk, cryptocurrency derivatives analysis company Skew noted that the six-month implied volatility spread between Ethereum (ETH) and Bitcoin (BTC) has surged to a six-month high, or 22%. This indicates that investors expect the change in ETH to be greater than BTC in the next 180 days. The spread between the two fell to a low of 4.7% at the end of October and has been on an upward trend ever since. Interestingly, the volatility of ETH has been higher than that of BTC in the past 3.5 months, which confirms the rise in implied volatility spreads.
