The data shows that some US companies have applied for dozens of encryption-related trademarks this year.

A few days ago, Nike applied for a trademark called "Cryptokicks" to raise concerns. Previously, well-known brand companies including Mastercard, Amazon and Walmart also applied for encryption related patents and trademarks. However, in most cases, the products and services mentioned in the filings have not yet been developed and brought to market. At the same time, many small businesses and individual entrepreneurs applying for encrypted trademarks and patents actually rely on them to build their own businesses.
