Nigeria introduced the country's first Bitcoin ATM, which is provided by BlockStale and is a device tailored specifically for the African market. It is understood that this Bitcoin ATM is different from other countries. It does not accept debit cards, credit cards, and does not support Mastercard and Visa cards. It can only use cash-the Nigerian legal currency Naira to pay for purchases. BlockStale CEO Daniel Adekunle revealed that the requirements of the Central Bank of Nigeria were taken into consideration this time, because Bitcoin ATM operators and sellers are neither banks nor financial inclusive institutions, so they cannot accept bank cards, only fiat currencies. Note: At present, the number of Bitcoin ATM equipment installed in the world has exceeded 6000, but there are only 14 in the African continent.
