Report: Q1 in 2019, the number of malware attacks in the Middle East and other regions increased by 108%

At the annual Cyber ​​Security Weekend in Cape Town, South Africa, Kaspersky Lab shared the evolution of the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) and the global digital threat landscape. In its report, it revealed that in the first quarter of 2019, the META region faced continuous attacks in the areas of encryption mining malware, phishing and ransomware. In the first quarter of 2019 alone, there were more than 150 million malware attacks, an average of 1.6 million per day, an increase of 108% from the first quarter of 2018.
