The deployment of the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI) was launched in the first quarter of 2020. EBSI's first Belgian node was commissioned on February 12, and the second node will be commissioned in the next few weeks. This technology enables users to store and transmit data in a secure, decentralized manner, so the European Commission is committed to providing better services to European citizens. It is reported that in 2018, EU member states created the European Blockchain Partnership (EBP) to cooperate to establish EBSI. Currently, the EBP has 30 signatories, including all EU countries and the non-EU member states of the United Kingdom, Norway and Liechtenstein.
