Former Microsoft engineer convicted of 18 felonies for stealing $ 10 million in digital currency

Former Microsoft employee Kvashuk was accused of stealing nearly $ 10 million in digital currency from his former employer and using the funds for personal consumption. He was recently sentenced to 18 felonies including wire transfer fraud, money laundering and serious theft.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Kvashuk uses the "Bitcoin Mixing Service" to cover up the source of funds he transferred to his bank account and also uses email accounts linked to other employees.
