Trinity University Dublin report: Brave has best privacy performance among mainstream browsers

Dr. Douglas Leigth, director of the Department of Computer Systems at Trinity University Dublin, authored a research report comparing the amount of personal data shared by major browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge, Yandex, Brave and back-end servers. The results show that Brave's default configuration performs best. The report said: "Brave is by far the most private browser among the research subjects. We have not found any identifiers to track IP addresses, nor have we found details of accessing web pages shared with back-end servers."
