Goldman Sachs: Fed expected to cut interest rates by 50 basis points in advance

Goldman Sachs analysts on Sunday expect the Fed to cut interest rates soon or take action before a policy meeting on March 17-18. The bank said that it is currently expected that the Fed will cut interest rates by 50 basis points by March 18, and will cut interest rates by another 50 basis points in the second quarter, a total of 100 basis points from the current 1.50-1.75% target range.
