U.S. Treasury blacklists Bitcoin addresses believed to be related to North Korean hacks

The Office of Foreign Asset Control of the U.S. Treasury has added 20 bitcoin addresses related to two individuals to the list of sanctioned individuals. The two were accused of affiliation with the Lazarus group, a cybercrime group likely to be associated with the North Korean government. Lazarus was accused of stealing more than $ 1 billion in cryptocurrency back in 2018, and cybersecurity vendor Group-IB claims that the organization targeted 14 different exchanges within two years.
