Argentina suspends use of blockchain system to register new company online

The Argentine government has announced that it will suspend the use of a national blockchain-based mechanism to register new companies for 180 days. The head of the Attorney General's (IGJ) Ricardo Nissen stated that the measure aims to rearrange the registration of the new company so that the Attorney General can participate in the entire process. The suspension of the blockchain system will begin in the second week of March. It is reported that since its implementation in 2017, about 20,000 companies in the country have been incorporated under the digital system.
