Venture capitalist Tim Draper: If I can be president for one day, I will make Bitcoin a national currency

According to U.Today, when 14 states, including California and Texas, were preparing to vote on Super Tuesday, venture capitalist Tim Draper posted a post describing what the U.S. would look like if he were president for one day. According to the article, if he can be president for one day, in addition to dividing California into six independent states and pardoning the founder of the Silk Road, Ross Ulbricht, Draper will also make Bitcoin a national currency. Draper also wants to "try" a Bitcoin-based universal basic income (UBI) or tax system.

The U.Today analysis article states that the plan described by Tim Draper sounds very utopian because Bitcoin has yet to prove its feasibility as a medium of exchange. In the United States and other developed countries, Bitcoin is still considered a speculative asset. Therefore, it would make more sense for countries like Venezuela to adopt Bitcoin as the real currency. However, Draper has previously stated that Bitcoin can obtain a 5% share of the global currency market, which is also the main reason he believes that the price of Bitcoin may soar to $ 250,000 by 2023.
