According to a previous report by Bloomberg, Facebook is considering redesigning Libra for regulatory approval. In addition, The Block cited The Information as saying that people familiar with the matter revealed that Facebook will develop several separate digital tokens linked to government-issued currencies (such as the US dollar, euro, etc.). These new tokens will be available through Calibra, Facebook's digital wallet. Although the launch of Calibra was postponed from June to October, Facebook still hopes to launch Calibra and these digital currencies at the same time. The company wants to make this wallet available on WhatsApp and Messenger, but based on the local currencies it supports, it may initially be limited to certain countries. In addition, the Libra Association will promote Libra tokens linked to a basket of government-issued currencies. It's unclear when Facebook plans to resume support for Libra.
