Crypto sources launch petition accusing Google of censoring crypto-related content

Crypto sources have launched a petition against Google for reviewing cryptocurrency-related content on its platform, accusing Google and its subsidiary YouTube of having "suppressed the bitcoin and blockchain industry for years." The #ForkGoogle initiative is designed to encourage blockchain companies and stakeholders to boycott Google ’s censorship. The petition accuses Google of censoring cryptocurrency content by a variety of means, including blocking advertising campaigns, removing encryption-related applications from Google Play, and removing or restricting access to cryptocurrency information. The initiative calls on the crypto community to boycott Google's services and promote coordinated migration to alternative platforms that use distributed technology, citing Steemit, a decentralized blogging platform, and Brave, an open source web browser.
