Report: Ethereum's social engagement has increased due to rising prices and ProgPoW controversy

According to a report from crypto analytics provider LunarCRUSH, Ethereum's social engagement has recently increased. There have been some spikes in Ethereum social activity in the past week. On the first day of March, ETH had more than 45 million social interactions, and reached 24 million in 24 hours, an increase of 27%. The high engagement of the Ethereum community seems to be related to two focal points. First, the price of ETH has risen by more than 20% since the end of February, surpassing many mainstream cryptocurrencies. Therefore, it is a natural reaction for analysts and crypto enthusiasts to increase the price discussion; the second and most important discussion point is about the controversial mining algorithm ProgPoW. It is reported that the company uses various indicators to analyze the depth of social media interactions, including favorites, likes, comments, replies, reposts, quotes, shares and other indicators. By analyzing this data, LunarCRUSH can determine a community's participation in specific digital assets.
