UK couple loses 14,800 XRP for using fake Chrome browser Ledger extension

According to CoinGape, a British couple posted on Reddit on Saturday saying they had lost 14,800 XRP due to using the so-called "Ledger extension" on the Chrome browser. The Odaily Planet Daily previously reported that Harry Denley, the security director of the MyCrypto platform, found that a Chrome extension called Ledger Live was trying to impersonate a real Ledger Live application and obtain the recovery seed for the user's Ledger wallet (the 12 or 24 word mnemonic) and steal assets.
