Russian State Duma official: Crypto law has been finalized, but will not be passed by spring 2020

According to Cointelegraph, affected by the new coronavirus epidemic, the adoption of Russian cryptocurrency related laws will be postponed again. Anatoly Aksakov, chairman of Russia ’s State Duma Financial Markets Committee, said the country ’s crypto law (the “Digital Financial Assets” Act) is currently finalized but will not be passed by spring 2020. The previous extension of the bill was caused by differences between local authorities over new asset types, the central bank opposed legalization of cryptocurrencies, and the State Duma financial market advocated for some cryptocurrency initiatives.
