Cryptocurrency analyst PlanB: Bitcoin can solve the Triffin dilemma

According to U.Today, cryptocurrency analyst PlanB said on Twitter that Bitcoin can solve the Triffin Dilemma. The Triffin dilemma was proposed by Robert Triffin in the early 1960s. In order to allow countries to use the US dollar as a currency reserve, the United States must maintain a continuously growing deficit. However, this will gradually weaken people's trust in the US dollar as a reserve asset. To restore this situation, the United States must also maintain a surplus. To solve this problem, Triffin suggested introducing a special international currency that would not be linked to the US dollar or gold. However, this does not solve the problem of people losing trust in the dollar. With only 21 million bitcoins planned to be issued, the number of new BTC in circulation will be reduced by half every half, which makes bitcoin a deflationary currency.
