US RIT students are accused of involvement in cryptocurrency theft, involving more than $2.41 million

According to Democrat & Chronicle, a student at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in the United States was federally prosecuted for allegedly invading cryptocurrency wallets and accounts. It is reported that the student was accused by the Eastern District Prosecutor's Office in Michigan of the United States of a "hacking organization", conspiring to implement telecom fraud, telecom fraud and serious identity theft. The indictment alleges that hacking began in December 2017 and continued until May 2018. The defendant carried out seven attacks in total, resulting in the theft of cryptocurrencies worth more than $2.41 million.
