A man in the United States was sentenced to pay $75.8 million for stealing bitcoin using SIM exchange technology.

According to Reuters news, on May 10, the California High Court document showed that American man Nicholas Truglia was found guilty of stealing bitcoin using SIM exchange technology and was required to pay $75.8 million in damages to the plaintiff cryptocurrency investor Michael Terpin. It was previously reported that in November 2018, Nicholas Truglia was arrested by local police in Manhattan because he hacked into someone else's cell phone to steal cryptocurrency, and the stolen Michael Terpin demanded compensation of $81 million.
