Suzhou Customs Deputy Commissioner: Suzhou Customs' bonded supervision and reform business pilot relies on blockchain and other technical means

On May 22, Suzhou Customs officially launched a trial of bonded supervision reform business in the supply chain. Liu Weiyan, deputy director of Suzhou Customs, said that the reform has two major features. First, customs supervision extends from focusing on a single cargo or a single enterprise to the entire supply chain chain, and implementing overall supervision of the processing trade bonded enterprise cluster under the modern supply chain model; The second is to innovatively propose the concept of “regulating the supply chain with data chain”, simplifying the traditional mode of document auditing, relying on blockchain, big data and other technical means, cutting through the key nodes of the supply chain, sharing through data, upstream and downstream. Customs supervision is implemented in the form of verification.
