Brazil's National Economic and Social Development Bank plans to incubate blockchain and other areas of start-ups

The Brazilian National Economic and Social Development Bank (BNDES) is working with venture capital firm Wayra to plan a number of start-ups, including health, safety, financial solutions, the environment, blockchain and the Internet of Things. From December 2018 to January 2019, 5,056 applications were received, of which 2,271 start-ups participated, and 79 start-ups were selected in the first phase. It is reported that five startups focused on the blockchain are among them.
