Global securities regulators seek public feedback on regulatory crypto trading platforms

On May 28th, the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) issued a consultation paper entitled “Considerations, Risks and Regulatory Considerations with the Encrypted Asset Trading Platform”. This document seeks public input on a range of issues, risks and other key considerations identified by IOSCO regarding the cryptographic asset trading platform. The main considerations outlined in the report are as follows: using CTPs, protecting assets, conflicts of interest, CTP operations, market integrity, price integrity, and technology. The document states that all such comments must be submitted by July 29, 2019.
