IMF President Lagarde: The G20 has a responsibility to reach a consensus on the regulation of encryption assets

Recently, at the G20 summit in Fukuoka, Japan, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) President Christine Lagarde said: "Technology will always promote financial innovation. The question is whether these innovations benefit everyone, or only benefit A few people. If handled properly, financial technology can reduce the cost of using financial instruments and enable millions of people to realize a better life. We have a shared responsibility to create a safe, healthy, sustainable and inclusive financial system. Encrypted assets have been in use for several years, but even in the G20 countries, there is no consensus on their regulatory treatment.” G20 summit members can choose the fate of digital currency by establishing a globally unified management system.
