Research: Traditional remittance operators should actively cooperate to leverage the blockchain for future transformation

On June 10th, a new data from Juniper Research shows that by 2024, the total international digital remittance is expected to reach $525 billion, up from $33.2 billion in 2019. New research shows that mobile channels will become increasingly popular; by 2024, they will account for 41% of total international digital remittances, up from 33% in 2019. At the same time, blockchain-based payments have the potential to further increase digital payments because the technology is highly likely to disrupt existing business models. Juniper recommends that traditional remittance operators should actively seek partnerships to effectively leverage the blockchain for future transformation.
