Affected by Google’s core update, the cryptocurrency news site CCN is closing

Jonas Borchgrevink, founder of CCN, a cryptocurrency news site, said that CCN's Google search traffic fell more than 71% overnight, due to a core update launched by Google on June 3. CCN is shutting down. According to data from Sistrix.com, Google's search traffic on the cryptocurrency news site CoinDesk dropped by 34.6%, and CoinTelegraph's search traffic on mobile devices dropped by 21.1%. Borchgrevink said that while all major cryptocurrency-focused sites have been affected by Google's core update, other sites not related to cryptocurrencies have experienced similar effects, including the UK Daily Mail.
