According to a study released yesterday by research firm Gartner, China and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region are far ahead of the US in terms of blockchain adoption. In fact, North America lags behind all regions except Africa in terms of blockchain project development and production. In addition, the study also found that between 2017 and 2019, the proportion of the blockchain used by the banking and securities industries declined in all industries. Projects in the banking and securities industries appear to be much slower than projects in the utilities, manufacturing and wholesale trade, although the latter have far fewer projects. Asset tracking and source, as well as payment and settlement, are the most common use cases in today's enterprise blockchain.
