1. Music NFT platform Sound.xyz acquires digital collectibles platform Soho

On December 12th, music NFT platform Sound.xyz announced the acquisition of digital collectibles platform Soho. The entire Soho team, led by Omid Aziz, will join Sound, with Omid serving as its Chief Technology Officer.

2. FIFA to launch limited edition digital collectibles

According to LianGuai, FIFA announced that it will launch a limited edition of digital collectibles later this week. The first batch of 100 collectibles will be available for purchase on FIFA Collect+ on December 15th, including the rarest collectibles, giving owners a chance to win tickets to the 2026 FIFA World Cup final. Another 900 digital collectibles will be released on the Polygon network and available on the OpenSea platform, with plans to launch them closer to the FIFA Club World Cup on December 19th. On December 12th, BNB Chain released the BNB Greenfield technology roadmap, aiming to improve performance, enhance development experience, and expand multi-chain functionality. The roadmap is based on three key principles: high performance, simplified development experience, and multi-chain platform. It includes: 1. Increasing SP upload and download speeds by 5 times, from 2MB/s to 10MB/s and from 20MB/s to 100MB/s, respectively; 2. Ensuring compatibility with popular Web2 and Web3 standards for a simplified development experience; 3. Introducing rich storage capabilities, including resource tagging, indexing, simplified data migration, and object atomic updates; 4. Providing powerful infrastructure through the multi-chain platform for on-chain or decentralized applications, enabling cross-chain programmability with opBNB and EVM-compatible chains; 5. Greenfield will also serve as the foundational data availability (DA) layer for the opBNB and BSC ecosystems.
