From Suspected Crypto Fraudster to Unexpected Guest The Intriguing Tale of Their Presence in South Korean President’s State Visit to Saudi Arabia
Suspected Cryptocurrency Fraudster Reportedly Joined South Korean President on Official Visit to Saudi ArabiaA suspected crypto fraudster had the audacity to accompany President Yoon Seok-yeol, South Korea’s very own cryptocurrency Sherlock, on a state visit to Saudi Arabia! Talk about gate crashing the wrong party.
According to iNews24, it seems that our crypto scammer, who shall be referred to as “A” for anonymity, managed to weasel their way into the “economic delegation” that accompanied President Yoon in late October. What a cunning move! Clearly, this individual is well-versed in the art of deception.
While the genuine purpose of the trip was to discuss cooperation between the two nations, this shady character had ulterior motives. You see, “A” is currently under investigation by prosecutors on fraud charges. It’s like the wolf in sheep’s clothing attending a lamb barbecue!
Upon returning from the visit, our crypto schemer couldn’t help but boast about potential good news related to Saudi Arabia. In a crypto-related chat room, they wrote with a mischievous smirk, “It looks like good news related to Saudi Arabia is on its way. Please be patient.” Oh, the audacity!

But wait, there’s more! The plot thickens as it appears that “A” might have even managed to secure a meeting with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia himself, Mohammed bin Salman, also known as “MBS.” Imagine the nerve of this fraudster trying to rub shoulders with royalty!
The Federation of Korean Industries (FKI), responsible for selecting the businesspeople for the delegation, claims they failed to uncover “A’s” shady background during their verification process. It seems this cunning crypto crook cleverly applied under a different company name. Talk about slipping under the radar!
Of course, the crypto company involved is trying to downplay the reports, saying they can’t disclose detailed information and dismissing some of the allegations as untrue. Well, if you ask me, they’re just trying to cover their tracks and protect their scamming comrade.
Opposition leaders are rightfully outraged, calling this incident a disgrace to South Korea. A spokesperson from the Democratic Party couldn’t hold back their frustration, exclaiming, “President Yoon Seok-yeol’s trip to the Middle East, with the head of a company under investigation for crypto fraud, is a disgrace to the country and has brought about a loss of national prestige. The company courted investors by saying it would meet the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. The trip was used to promote fraud!” Strong words indeed.
While “A” has never been convicted of fraud, they’ve certainly garnered attention in the crypto world before. Alleged victims even filed a civil case against them, but withdrew after reportedly being reimbursed for their losses. It’s like a magician trying to make their sins disappear.
It seems that South Korean police and prosecutors are having quite a busy month, cracking down on crypto crime left and right. They recently made 25 arrests in a swoop in the city of Daegu and shut down an alleged “international crypto fraud ring.”
