The first domestic "Digital Currency Dictionary" was launched at the New Moganshan Conference, and the Babit Think Tank was the main editor.
At the Digital Finance Sub-forum of the 10th New Moganshan Conference (2019 Autumn Forum) on September 20th, the launching ceremony of the Digital Currency Dictionary was held. He Baohui, the executive editor of the Dictionary, gave a brief introduction on the project.
The global digital currency industry is about to explode. However, there are huge cognitive differences in the basic concepts, connotations and extensions of digital currency, usage scenarios, etc. There is also a lack of standardization and unification of relevant conceptual terms in the world, which seriously restricts the development of the industry. The "Digital Currency Dictionary" was born.
The dictionary was initiated by the Digital Economics Laboratory, and the professional institutes such as the National Research Institute of Thought, the Tsinghua University, the Digital Assets Research Institute, and the Babitian Think Tank were the main editors. Zhu Jiaming, academic advisor of the famous Economist & Digital Assets Institute, is the editor-in-chief, and the famous economist Huang Jiangnan is the honorary advisor. He Baohui, the secretary general of the Academic Committee of the Digital Assets Research Institute, the research institute of the National Research Institute and the Tsinghua X-lab Room director Zhong Hong served as executive editor, and Mr. Luo Chongjie, head of Babbitt College, served as deputy editor. Babbitt editor Tang Xiuling and vice president of Digital Assets Institute Meng Yan and other industry members served as members of the expert group.
"Dictionary" is a joint expert, scholar and authority to conduct a survey of conceptual terms in the field of digital currency, determine the Chinese name of the standard and the corresponding English translation, and add definitions to regulate and unify the digital currency field through official guidance and social influence. The vocabulary used. The move aims to establish a global digital currency research system and build a national key think tank and academic exchange platform for digital currency development.

The Dictionary uses open source collaborative forms for the preparation of terms, edited by authoritative organizations and experts, and printed and published by the China Development Publishing House, a central-level publishing house directly under the State Council Development Research Center. As you can see from the Babbitt Open Source Collaboration webpage (link: https://www.8btc.com/wiki ), there are currently 173 entries, divided into currency, assets, transactions, regulation, technology, and other six topics. I hope to invite experts and scholars from universities, research institutions, industry, media and other fields to participate in the initiation and writing of the entry.
Zhu Jiaming, editor-in-chief of the Dictionary, said: "It is an imperative and urgent historical task to write the "Digital Currency Dictionary" to guide the use of nouns in the field of digital currency. Welcome and eager to have a deep understanding and research on digital currency. The people of insight actively participate in the preparation of the term and contribute a valuable power to the Dictionary."
In the process of collecting, compiling and organizing entries, in order to promote academic exchanges, the editorial committee will also hold digital currency-related seminars in Shenzhen, Beijing, Hangzhou and other places to study and discuss the concept definition, usage scenarios and technical routes of digital currency. Issues such as the impact on economic and social life.
